HALIFAX - Kirby A. Laudenslager, 43, of Halifax passed away Saturday, July 2nd. He was born Nov. 2, 1967 in Harrisburg, the son of the late Paul E. and Millicent E. (Gingrich) Laudenslager. Kirby was a 1985 graduate of Halifax High School and was a Corporal for the U.S. Marines. he was currently employed as a Shop Foreman with Pennsy Supply in Harrsburg. Kirby was an avid outdoorsman enjoying the fall hunting season with his family. Kirby was a dedicated family man and a devoted father and loved spending time with his fiance, children and step-children, and giving his grandson tractor rides. He had a quick wit and was a great story teller and always had an optimistic view of life. He thoroughly enjoyed his time with Pennsy and loved the camaraderie with his fellow co-workers. In addition to his mother Millicent, he is survived by his fiance Sally Sturgeon, his children Tyler and Heather Laudenslager, step-children Ashley, Harley and Abby Sturgeon, grandson Cayden. His brothers Isaac, Cristen, Steven, Tracy Laudenslager and sister Sheila Stull. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 6 from 5-7:00 PM at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home in Millersburg. Funeral Services will begin at 7:00 PM with military honors. Donations can be made to Halifax Fire Company, 22 S. River Rd., Halifax, PA 17032.
