Kreger D. Emry, 94, of Rock Island, IL died Monday, February 20, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center, Davenport, IA.

There will be a visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Burial will be at Rose-Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Rock Island Public Library or The American Cancer Society.

Kreger was born on February 3, 1918 in Keota, IA the son of Harlan and Marjorie (Kreger) Emry. He married Sara Weeks on January 13, 1946 in Davenport, IA. She preceded him in death on July 5, 1985. He worked as a salesman for 34 years for Westron Corporation retiring in 1997. Kreger was a member of the First Congregational Church of Moline and the Friends of the Rock Island Public Library. He liked Jazz and Big Band music and enjoyed reading. Kreger enjoyed driving, classic cars, and spending time with family and friends. He particularly delighted in time spent with his grandchildren.
