NORTHBRIDGE / GRAFTON: Krista Marie Schonberg, 30, passed away unexpectedly at home August 20, 2011. Born in Worcester October 4, 1980 the daughter of Katherine L. (Munroe) Schonberg and the late Wayne A. Schonberg. In addition to her mother she leaves three brothers, Bret and his wife Jessica of Oxford, Greg and his wife Danielle of Northbridge, Jake of Bellingham; three sisters, Erika Schonberg Alves and her husband Mark of Grafton, Lisa Patraitis and her husband Jerry of Auburn and Greta Schonberg of Grafton. Also her step mother, Nancy Schonberg, step brother Chris Rovedo of Bellingham and many close friends who thought of Krista as a sister. Krista will be remembered for her many amazing gifts especially by the children whose lives she touched including her eight nieces and nephews, Victoria Richard, Camden and Logan Patraitis all of Auburn, Annika and Ella Alves, Alexandria Schonberg, all of Grafton, Emily Schonberg of Northbridge, Evan Schonberg of Oxford. She also leaves her Godson, Tyler Hardiman of Grafton. Krista had worked for the past eight years at Highfields Golf & Country Club which was a brighter place thanks to her easy smile and bubbly personality. She was also a nanny for her nieces and nephews along with some local families who will all miss her dearly. Krista was a vibrant, active and independent person who lived her life to the fullest. She loved playing golf, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her beloved dogs Kolbee and Guinness. She also expressed creativity through her writing, crafting, cooking and party planning. Always a kid at heart, she especially enjoyed making up games to entertain the children in her life. Krista had a talent for making every day events special occasions. Above all Krista will be remembered as a kind, caring and generous person who would drop anything to help a friend or loved one or anyone who she felt just needed a reason to smile. Memorial Celebration of Life A Memorial and Celebration of Her Life will be Monday August 29th from 5 to 9 pm at Highfields Golf & Country Club 42 Magill Drive in Grafton. The family asks that in lieu of flowers you remember Krista with donations to Why ME (www.whyme.org) , a non- profit organization which provides love and support to children with cancer.
