Pandora Kristine Frick DeBolt, 68, of Pandora went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 3, 2012. She died at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 11, 1944 in Bellefontaine to Arthur and Ann (Harding) Frick who preceded her in death. On December 4, 1999, she married Reuben DeBolt, who survives in Pandora. Also surviving are her son Ty Comer of Pandora, her brother Mark (Dee) Frick of Elida and her sister Karen (Wayne) Smith of Hilliard. She was preceded in death by her sister Jan Frick . Kris is also survived by step-daughters Sarah DeBolt of Bogota, Colombia, and Rebekah DeBolt of Knoxville, TN. Kris was a graduate of Lima Senior High School and of Lima School of Practical Nursing. She worked briefly in nursing before becoming a full-time mother and homemaker. She also worked as a model at Gregg's Dept. Store and later at Lazarus in Lima. She brought her creativity and eye for detail to her own businesses in antiques "Gander Run", and home and wedding decorating. She was an active member of St. John Mennonite Church and of the community, serving both in many different capacities. She had served on the Pandora-Gilboa School Board, was a member of Asi No Mas, Hardin County Herb Society, and Swiss Community Historical Society. Kris loved the simple beauties of God's creation and enjoyed quiet places like Holmes County, Sanibel Island and the English countryside where she lived for a year. Kris cultivated her flowers and garden with much love and care and created a welcoming atmosphere for birds at her home. These were an extension of her endearing grace which flowed from her firm faith and caused her to be an encourager and inspiration to many. A memorial service will be held at St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora, OH at 11:00am on Saturday, April 7. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday evening, April 6, from 6:00 to 8:00pm and on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30am. Memorial donations may be made to St. John Mennonite Church (Missions), Putnam County Hospice, or Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
