Ky E. Vanderbush, 32, of Naples, Florida and Mackinac Island, Michigan, formerly of Marquette, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, January 31st at Naples Community Hospital in Naples, Florida. Ky was born on August 16, 1979 in Berrien Springs, Michigan and was a graduate of Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He also received a degree in political science and history from Northern Michigan University and attended the Cooley Law School. Ky enjoyed working summers on Mackinac Island at Horns Restaurant as a waiter and bartender and winters in Naples, Florida at Pelican Larry's Restaurant. Ky lived life to the fullest with no regrets. He enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. His priority in life was to always be awake to new experiences. He impacted the lives of countless friends and acquaintances. Survivors include his beloved mother, Cheryl (Chris Johnson) Moore of Marquette and father, Kevin (Becky) Vanderbush of Indianapolis, IN: six siblings, Walter (Hannah) Moore of Marquette, Brock Vanderbush of Indianapolis, IN, Clayton Moore of Marquette, Kortney Vanderbush and Blake Vanderbush, both of Indianapolis, IN, and Lacy (Brian Stuer) Moore of Marquette; his maternal grandparents, Boyd and Sharon Nutting of Marquette; maternal great grandmother, Lois Sweany of Marquette; uncle, Boyd (Julie Soales) Nutting, Jr. of Niles, MI and aunt, Kris (Bruce) Bray of Marquette; a niece, Kylie Stuer; also several cousins including Ally Bray of Marquette, Amy Bray of Flint, Mi, Elizabeth (Zach) McGinnis of Niles, MI, and Zachary Moore of Miami, FL. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11th at 1 p.m. in the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home in Marquette with the Rev. Kim Spencer of Grace United Methodist Church officiating.
