Kyle Joseph Freeman, 15, of Missoula, passed peacefully at his home early Sunday, October. 5, 2008, surrounded by family and friends after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Kyle was born January. 18, 1993, in Missoula to Rick Freeman and Dawnmarie Freeman. Kyle attended Hellgate Elementary School, Hawthorne Elementary and graduated from C.S. Porter Middle School, all of Missoula.

Kyle had a special place in his heart for animals. He loved going to movies and just hanging out with his friends. He enjoyed camping, nature and arts and crafts, and he especially enjoyed drawing pictures and creating his own house designs. Kyle will be missed for his gentle and caring nature and humorous and witty personality. He touched everyone he came in contact with. He was a loving and caring son and brother, he will be missed by all those who knew him.

Kyle was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe Freeman and Madelyn Freeman of Dekalb, Ill.

Kyle is survived by his parents, Rick Freeman, Dawnmarie Freeman and Terry Morfitt of Missoula; his identical twin, Grant Freeman; and grandparents, Don and Jaunita Round of Florence. Kyle is further survived by his uncles, aunts and cousins, Bob and Karen Freeman and their children Joseph and Owen of Cary, Ill., Bob and Linda Walker and their son Tyler of Dekalb, Ill., Stan and Sherry Mast of Missoula, Janet Freeman of Sycamore, Ill., Doug Round and Nadene of Florence, Dave and Pam Round and their children Christopher, Amanda and Kaitlyn of Billings, Dennis and Robin Round and their children, Whitney, Blake, Mackenzie, and Olivia of Nashville, Tenn., and Darwin and Deanne Baker and their children Danielle, Monica and Zachary of Moscow, Idaho.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, October. 10, at Garden City Funeral Home in Missoula. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October. 11, at Florence Carlton High School in Florence, burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Florence, and a reception will follow the burial back at Florence Carlton High School.

Pallbearers for the service will be Dennis Round, Doug Round, Dave Round, Christopher Round, Blake Round, Bob Freeman, Stan Mast and Darwin Baker.
