Seif, LaVellma Ann, 74, passed away October 20, 2012 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

She was born on May 29, 1938 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Frederick George Baux and Rosemary (Hall) Baux. Mrs. Seif was a resident of Corpus Christi, Texas for 15 years where she was a member of Padre Island Baptist Church. She was the past president of the Roanoke Academy of Medical Auxiliary and the Virginia Medical Society Auxiliary. She was also a past member of the Executive Committee of the American Medical Association Auxiliary. Velma was past Chairperson of the Christian Women's Club of Roanoke, Virginia and a past member of the Roanoke City School Board.
Velma is survived by her husband Dr. Rahmat Seif, retired surgeon and US Navy Captain; her daughter Roya Tompkins and husband Phillip, of Coppell, Texas; her sons Karim Seif of Irving, Texas and Hasan Seif of Justin, Texas; her two grandsons Connor and Ryan Tompkins; brother Donald Baux and wife Susan of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and sister Rosemary Pagonis of Cleveland, Ohio.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Restland Coppell Chapel, 400 S. Freeport Parkway, Coppell, Texas 75019. Services will be at 2:00PM at First United Methodist Church of Coppell, Texas, 420 S. Heartz Road, Coppell, Texas 75019. Rev. Susan Bryan officiating
