LaVerne Hunt Morton (Age 74) Peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Beloved wife of Preston Morton. She also leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Ida Hunt; one daughter, Shadawn K. Bell; one son, George Nathan Bell, III (Barbara); two brothers Gary Hunt and Frederick Hughes; two aunts, Gladys Ridout and Etta M. Hunt; one uncle, F. Bernard Hunt; one granddaughter, Brittany C. Bell and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James L. Hunt Jr. On Thursday, January 23, 2014, friends may visit with the family from 10 am until 11 am at Metropolitan AME Church, The National Cathedral of African Methodism, 1518 M Street, NW, Washington, DC 20005 where services will be held at 11 am. Rev. Dr. Ronald E. Braxton, Senior Pastor. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD. Services By HUNT FUNERAL HOME.
