Lance Heyn, 62, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 at his home in Fort Wayne. Born in Ft. Wayne, he was a US Navy Veteran and worked as a machine operator with Republic Services, retiring in 2010. He was a stamp and coin collector. He enjoyed fishing and was also an avid and passionate New York Yankees fan. He is survived by his sister, Cristine (Rex) Enos of Fort Wayne; several nieces and nephews; friends, Tom Butcher, and Lyle Butcher. Lance was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Carol Heyn. Service is 7 P.M. Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling two hours prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Ft. Wayne Rescue Mission.
