Larry D. Henderson of Plymouth Meeting, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012 in Montgomery Hospital of Norristown. He was 70. He was the husband of Barbara ( Hohnstock ) Henderson. Born in Weston, MO on April 23, 1942, he was the son of the late Larry W. & Hazel D. ( Coffee ) Henderson Larry has lived in Plymouth Meeting, Pa since 1984, formerly of Conshohocken, Arkansas, and Weston, Missouri where he was born and raised before going into the Air Force. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean & Vietnam Wars, where he received the Air Force Longevity Service Award with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, the National Defense Service Award, Air Force Good Conduct Award with 2 Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Vietnam Service Medal, & Air Force Commendation Medal. He last worked as a Truck Driver with Ace World Wide, and prior to that he worked with Hale Pump and Corson's Quarry. He volunteered with Conshohocken Fire Police. He enjoyed Fishing, Gardening, going to Car Shows and Spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. In addition to is wife, Larry is survived by hi step daughter Christine Ann Phillips of Norristown; step son David Johnson of Plymouth Meeting; brother William "Buck" Henderson of Missouri; sisters Oma Ellison of Kansas and Katherine Mohn of Minnesota; grandchildren Brandon, Linzy, & Justin. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Phyllis Hawk. His Memorial Service will be held on Monday Evening July 2, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. from the Moore & Snear Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton Clergy: The Rev. David Prince officiating, Chaplain with Montgomery Hospice. Friends may call on Monday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Larry's memory to: Montgomery Hospice, 25 West Fornance Street, Norristown, Pa 19401.
