Larry G. Anderson, the son of Ervin and Charlotte (Hotchkiss) Anderson, was born February 3, 1940, in Estherville, Iowa. He died Friday, October 16, 2009, at his daughter's home in Swea City, Iowa, at the age of 69.

He received his education in the Halfa school. After completing his education he enlisted in the United States Air Force. On July 27, 1958, Larry was united in marriage to Lois Nelson in Bedford, Massachusetts. While continuing his military service, Larry was stationed in Massachusetts, New Mexico and Alaska. After his honorable discharge from military service, the couple moved to Armstrong and Larry was employed at Art's Way Manufacturing until his retirement. He also worked with in his family's business doing tiling and irrigation. In his leisure time, Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, scrapping iron, cutting trees, playing cards and going to casino's. Most important to Larry was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He was a member of Weiby-Johnson VFW Post in Armstrong.

Left to cherish Larry's memory are his wife, Lois of Armstrong; his children, Donny Anderson of Armstrong; Christine Hersleff of Swea City; Arnold Anderson and his wife, Antoinette of New Richmond, Wisconsin; Pamela Anderson of Armstrong; Michael Anderson and his wife, Staci of Blue Earth, Minnesota; Stephen Anderson and his wife, Carolyn of New Richmond; Mark Anderson and his wife, Melissa of Fenton, Iowa; 21 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Charlene Tigges and her husband, Gene of Armstrong; Richard Anderson and his wife, Janet of Armstrong; June Prentice of Swea City; Doris Subbert and her husband, David of Fairmont, Minnesota; and Donny Anderson and his wife, Gayle of Kissimmee, Florida.

Preceding Larry in death were his parents and one brother, Robert.
