I met Laura in Junior college, in a printing class. She has photos and I knew she was gifted. I told her so. I also knew that she was probably gay (she didn't yet). Anyhow, her first published photo was of me (I like to brag) and then when she was house sitting for me in Pasadena, In Sandy's Room was taken- great photo of her in my room in front of a fan. Over the years we met and had breakfast and shared about our lives. During the worst part of my divorce she showed up in San Antonio and we had a great visit- she was famous and we had this wonderful Mexican meal with all the trendy art people in San Antonio! Goodness! Noone contacted me in January and I just found out that she had passed away. She was so happy with her church and swimming - she really had found some happiness. I miss her so much. She always laughed at me and my dilemmas - gosh I feel so sad she is gone!
