Laura Paulette Landers, 65, of Little Rock, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011, at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was born April 6, 1946, to Paul and Verna Landers. Paulette was preceded in death by her parents. She was a life-long member of Highland Valley United Methodist Church. She received her Bachelors Degree from Henderson State University, and a Masters from the University of Central Arkansas. She retired after 33 years of service as a high school counselor at Parkview High School. Although small in stature, she lived large among her students and their parents. She cherished her years working with them.
She was a caring sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her sister, Diana Sellers (Thomas), a nephew, Blake Bradford (Kerri), and a great-niece and a great-nephew. Known as Aunt Pet, they always brought a twinkle to her eyes and a smile to her face.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to her friends for the many hospital visits and calls; to Community of Hope of St. James United Methodist Church for their daily visits and prayers; to the nurses and doctors of St. Vincent's for their gentle care; and to Dr. J. Lynn Davis for his many years of medical care.
