Laura V. Petschauer, 96, of Springfield, died at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2011 at her residence. Laura was born October 1, 1914 in Riddle Hill, the daughter of Charles and Nellie Ruh Williams. She married Albert Petschauer on January 15, 1930 in Springfield; he preceded her in death in 1996. Laura was a baker for Strong's Cafeteria and retired from the dietary department at St. John's Hospital in 1979. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was also preceded in death by one son, John Petschauer; one daughter, Sue Keddy; and two brothers and one sister. She is survived by four daughters, Lois Shue, Betty (husband, John) Roseberry and Patricia (husband, Mike) Maybury, all of Springfield, and Lucy (husband, Wes) Pease of Inverness, FL; one son, Joseph (wife, Jan) Petschauer of Manchester, TN; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 220 South 2nd St., Springfield, IL 62701. Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Rev. Dr. Thomas Radtke officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Pawnee.
