Lawrence Burris Best, 72, passed on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 in Houston, Texas. He was born February 26, 1939 in Yoakum, Texas to Harry and Mary Gaynelle Burris Best. Lawrence is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 years of marriage Audrey Thurk Best; daughters, Elizabeth Best-Buren and companion Davie Guyton and Cathleen Best-Reis; grandchildren, Theresa Buren, Andie Buren and Matthew Reis; sisters, Beverly Andreas and Martha Geare. Lawrence served his country in the United States Navy form 1958-1962. The family will receive friends Monday, May 9th from 5-9 PM at Crespo Funeral Home Broadway Chapel with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM. A Celebration of Lawrence’s Life will be held Tuesday, May 10th at 11 AM in the Chapel of Crespo Funeral Home, 4136 Broadway Houston, TX. Rite of Committal will follow at Houston National Cemetery with Navy Honors.
