LAWRENCE CARLSON

Lawrence Carlson, 86, died November 12, 2009 at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.

He was born in Akron, Ohio and lived in Vero Beach for 26 years coming from Manistee, Michigan.

Mr. Carlson was employed by The Morton Salt Company for 37 years, the last 18 years of which he was the Manager of it's plant in Manistee, Michigan. He retired in 1988.

He served in the US Army during the WWII.

Mr. Carlson was a member and Past President of the Manistee Rotary Club, the Manistee Golf and Country Club and the Manistee Chamber of Commerce. He was also a Past Secretary of the Manistee Harbor Commission.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years Patricia Carlson of Vero Beach, son, Dr. Thomas Carlson, of Chicago, IL, daughters, , Carol Carlson of Chicago, IL, Christine Lapp of Wheaton, IL, Cathleen MacDonald of Grand Rapids, MI, sister, Betty Jean Marquard of Sun City West, AZ, and 3 grandchildren.

SERVICES: Graveside Service will be 2:30 PM on November 18, 2009 at Crestlawn Cemetery, Old Dixie HWY, Vero Beach, FL.
