Lawrence David Goetz, 75, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 at his home. Born in Ft. Wayne, David worked at Parrot Packing Company for 30 years, Lewis & Christian for 10 years and retired in 2002 from Office Max. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 451. Dave was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed being around his family, friends, and extended family at Cosmos House of Pancakes and Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his children, Tim (Diana) Goetz of Ft. Wayne, Jeff (Anne) Goetz of Carmel, IN, Sheri (Randy) Waite and Dan (Cheryl) Goetz, both of Ft. Wayne; grandchildren, Ashley Waite, Stephanie (Panos) Bourounis, Amanda Taber, Alexandra, Jamie and Emme Goetz, and Paige and Meg Hershberger; and great-granddaughter, Daphne. David was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Shirley; parents, Lawrence and Julia; brother Richard; and sisters, Mary Ann and Betty.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr. with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 3 to 7 pm Sunday at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to Knights of Columbus Council 451 or Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.
