Lawrence "Larry" Dudley Dust, 77 of Ironton, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 at his residence. The Detroit, MI native was born June 12, 1936, the son of the late William and Daisy McKluskey Dust. He is preceded in death by his wife Ersley May Dust.

Mr. Dust is a retired United States Army veteran where he served his country for 20 years retiring in 1978. He was of the protestant faith.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by:
a step daughter: Mary May Richmond
three brothers: Henery "Hank" Dust, Bobby Dust, and William E. "Billy Boy" Dust
three sisters: Ethel Brown, Alvina Hock, and Lila Gauthrie

He is survived by:
four sons: Larry R.Dust of Columbus,OH, William "Joe" Dust of Ironton, Scott T.A. Dust of Kitts Hill, and Shane Dust of Columbus, OH
a daughter: Ersley "Krecket" Dust Thomas of Ironton
three sisters: Bernice Brown of Rochester, MI, Lucille Dust of Florida, and Susie Harris of Phoenix, AZ
two brothers and a sister-in-law:Charles and Joanna Dust of Glennie, MI, and Wayne Dust of Ozark, AL

Graveside services will be 3:30PM Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Woodland Cemetery in Ironton, OH with Chaplin Frank Jarrell officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00PM -3:00PM at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, OH.To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
