Lawrence J. "Larry" Baggio Jr., 59, of Norwood, formerly of South Philadelphia, passed away suddenly on October 16, 2010 at Taylor Hospital. He was born October 17, 1950 in Philadelphia the son of the late Lawrence Baggio Sr. and Dorothy (nee DeLucia) Baggio. Lawrence graduated from Bishop Neumann High School and worked for over 30 years for Bell Telephone (which switched to Verizon) as a Line Supervisor retiring in 2004. He also worked for the past 5 years with Danella Contractors in Norristown. Lawrence loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and enjoyed taking weekend day trips to Lancaster with his wife. He also enjoyed playing his guitar, country and christian music and singing. Lawrence also liked to fix computers, was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan and had his own Christian Band called Martha's House which played for various Christian Groups. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Kathleen R. (nee DelPercio) Baggio; his children Regina Mack (Joe), Holly Karpin (Ray), Lawren Baggio, Mary Grace Baggio, Bernadette Baggio and Victoria Baggio; also survived by his grandchildren Kassie, Ray Ray, Joey, Gavin and Mikayla. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Monday October 25 from 6-9pm and Tuesday October 26 after 8:30am at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home 301 Chester Pike, Norwood. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday October 26 at 10am in the Church of St. Gabriel, Mohawk Ave., Norwood. Interment will follow in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Gabriel Church Memorial Fund 233 Mohawk Ave. Norwood, PA 19074.
