Lawrence F. Morris HOOPER – On Friday, September 25, 2009 Lawrence F. He attended school at White Knob, Idaho and Shelly, Idaho. In 1949 he joined the Army where he spent nine years including 15 months in the Korean War where he received the Bronze Star for Bravery. Lawrence enjoyed the outdoors and loved camping, horseback riding, snowmobiling, and taking road trips with family and friends. He especially loved spending time at his cabin in Echo Creek, Utah. Little children and animals were his greatest love and joy. We have wonderful memories of papa. He was especially kind to my children. In his latter years, while he was living with his daughter Judy and helping with the day care, he became a special friend to my little girl. He loved to hold her on his lap and talk with her. She had an imaginary friend at the time, they would carry on conversations with my daughters little friend. He always went out of his way to show his feelings to her. Even until she had way outgrown her little friend he always made sure to ask her how she and her friend were doing? When he saw us he made sure I told my Carrigan he missed her. I am so grateful for all he did for my child and how he made being at Judy's daycare a more pleasant experience. My deepest condolences to the family. I feel truly honored to have known such a wonderful man. We will really miss him.

Love and condolences to my most beloved cousins. Though we have not remained close through the years, I still think of you often. What wonderful childhood memories. I remember your father always kept an eye to the clock when you came out to the desert to visit. He wanted to be sure you hit the road on time, on schedule. I understand and can appreciate that much more now, but oh how I hated to see you go then. May you find comfort and solace in the knowledge of our love and regard for your father and the most cherished of memories with your family.

I'll miss "Papa" Morris's wonderful, welcoming smile. He always seemed so caring and interested in everyone around him. No wonder little children flocked to him. He was truly a gracious man, and his children remain a living example of his kind spirit.

Please accept my condolences. Although I have not had much contact in recent years, I do remember the many great camping adventures our two families and the other brothers and cousins families had together as we continued to grow up and watch our children grow. Lawrence was always the camp organizer, fire builder, horseman and man of the mountains and country side. He shared with us and taught us to enjoy it too. He will be missed. May you (the family) find peace in your loving memories of him. Sharon

I just wanted to let you all know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I also wanted to share a poem with you that helped me when my grandmother passed away. FAREWELL The sand of time are running low And soon my children I must go My heart with love for you is filled But soon its beating must be stilled I leave no treasures of any kind Only my love I leave behind Take it and share it between sister and brother And always be kind to one another Weep not beside the grave for me Don't bring me flowers I cannot see Only ashes lie neath the cold sod Just pray that my soul has gone with God Some of you perhaps may weep When my eyes are closed in eternal sleep But try to remember it won't be forever For God can bring our spirits together I pray that I go to a world far above To be with the others that I love And to wait awhile on that Heavenly plain Until the day we shall meet again
