Lawrence "Pro" Cotton age 80 of Duncanville, Texas passed away March 22, 2011. Born August 15, 1930 to John and Doshie Cotton in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He received his education in Vernon, Oklahoma.

Lawrence first united with the New Birth Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. G. W Pryor. He later united with Safe Way Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. O. L. Davis until his death.

He met and married Pinkie Waller-Miles. He helped with raising her five children, who loved him very much. He is preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving wife, Pinkie; one sister, Dorothy Tunley (Horace); five stepchildren, Vernon (Vicky), James (Evette), Sandra, David and Anita;; as well as numerous nieces, nephews; and many friends who will miss the "Painter"
