Lawrence Watson Jr., 25, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Gateway Regional Medical Center, Granite City, IL. Lawrence was born on March 27, 1987 in Granite City, IL. Lawrence was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Granite City, IL. He enjoyed fishing with his dad, drawing, listening to music, playing video games and his guitar. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his children. He is survived by his father, Lawrence "Larry" Watson Sr., stepmother and best buddy, Barbara Watson of Granite City, IL; mother, Christine Plummer, nee Buerk of Granite City, IL; four adoring children, Chase, Riley, Lillian and Connor; finance, Kym Ardison; sister, Michelle Griggs; four brothers, Tony Koenig, Christopher Koenig, Mark Koenig and James Watson; two step sisters, Michele Bishop and Tanya Grosse; step brother, Travis Bishop and many dear friends and extended family. Visitation: friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church, 30th and Washington Ave. Granite City, IL. In celebration of his life, a memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Jessie Tedder officiating. Memorials may be given to the Watson family and will be accepted at Calvary Baptist Church. Irwin Chapel, Granite City, IL is entrusted with the arrangements.
