COLUMBIA Service of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Lee Anne Miranda Cooley, 56, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mrs. Cooley died Friday, October 12, 2012. Born in Pompton Plains, N.J., she was a daughter of Patricia A. Miranda of Columbia and the late Anthony J. Miranda. She graduated from Cardinal Newman High School and attended Midlands Technical College. She worked in accounts receivable at Pennington Seed and later as office manager at Columbia Conservatory of Dance. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she was an eight year breast cancer survivor.
A loving wife, mother and daughter, she is survived by her husband, Robert Andrew "Andy" Cooley; two daughters, Carol Anne Cooley, Jenna Marie Cooley, all of Columbia; her mother; four brothers, Richard A. Miranda (Denise) of Lexington, John E. Miranda (Pam) of Columbia, Michael J. Miranda (Tonie) of Irmo, Thomas A. Miranda (Donna) of Lexington; two sisters, Tricia Miranda of Columbia, Mariclare Miranda of Lexington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Polly Smith, Shellie Webb and the staff of Palmetto Health Hospice for their supportive care in allowing Lee Anne to be at home during her last days.
