Leenell Oneta Francis

I was saddened to learn from the Ritchie Gazette of Oneta's death. We had exchanged many letters--Pearlie also until his death--for 18 years, and I always tried to remember her birthday. From 1947-51, Pearlie was my bus driver of old No. 8, and as a boy he was one of my heroes. I can still see him sitting so straight and attentive in his driver's seat. From 1947-51, Pearlie was my bus driver of old No. 8, and as a boy he was one of my heroes. I can still see him sitting so straight and attentive in his driver's seat. Over the years Oneta sent me pictures and clippings about the old buses and drivers and news of her family. I cherish every one. I never met Oneta but she was a dear and close friend and I will miss her. My love to all the Francis family.
