Leeta Jean Vaughn, age 68, of Murfreesboro, passed away on November 22, 2011, at her residence with her family at her side. She was a native of Jamestown, TN but lived in Rutherford County for the past 40 years. Jean retired from H.G. Hill and was a member of Powell's Chapel Baptist Church.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Orbit and Ethel Wright; brothers, J.B. Wright and Don Wright; and sister, Linda Whited. She is survived by her husband, Ulysses S. Grant Vaughn of Murfreesboro; daughters, Rhonda Lackey, Susan (John) Clark and Debby (Shawn) Bell all of Murfreesboro; four grandchildren, Ashley Clark, Luke Lackey, Haley Clark and Jude Bell; and brother, Roger Wright of Alpine, TN.

A chapel service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, November 26, 2011, at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Bro. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison, TN with family and friends serving as active pallbearers.

Visitation with the family will be held from 4 pm until 8 pm on Friday, November 25, 2011, and again from 11 am until service time at noon on Saturday at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home; 820 South Church St., Murfreesboro, TN 37130. 615-893-2422. Please leave condolences at www.jenningsandayers.com
