1913 – 2011

Our dearly loved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on June 19. She was born in Midvale, Utah on July 29, 1913 to Raymond and Ruby Barney, their only child. She married Lee Reed on May 28, 1934 and was preceded in death by him on December 10, 1988. She leaves behind two daughters: Joyce Siu and Karen Gomez (Andy). She is also survived by five grandchildren: Bart Benson (Letty), Russ Benson, Rod Benson, Darin Lovat (Annie), and Christin Lovat and five great grandchildren: Ariana and Janella Williams, Jesse Benson, Paul Benson, and Eliza Marie Lovat. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 22 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East. Services will be followed by a Celebration of Life from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Joyce Siu’s home, 4402 South 1500 East. In lieu of flowers, family requests a donation to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary located in Kanab, Utah. The family would also like to thank Envision Hospice Services for their care of Lenore in her final months of life.
