Leo Paul Levesque (Frenchie) age 79, of 2124 Roy Street, Walkerton, Indiana, 46574, passed away at 9:15 p.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at the Community Hospital, in Bremen, Indiana. Leo was born on May 8, 1931, in Manchester, New Hampshire, to Thomas and Delia (Carrier) Levesque. On June 27, 1952, Leo married the former, Geraldine R. "Gerry" Smith, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Leo proudly served his country, in the United States Marine Corps, from the end of WWII and into the Korean War. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, from Local #150 Midwest Operations, and had worked in, South Bend, Indiana; Chicago, Illinois; and Lakeville, Indiana. Leo is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Geraldine "Gerry" Levesque of Walkerton; their daughters, Valerie A. Wolfe of Goshen, Indiana, Shelia S. (Phillip) Kennedy of South Bend, and Gail D. (Leonard) Sargent of Plymouth; their son, Leo R. Levesque of Walkerton; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; his sister, Gertrude Daug of Ocala, Florida; and his brother, Henry Levesque of California. Leo was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Dot Wooden, Ann Casseday, and Julie Bilodeau; and his brothers, Raymond, Houle, Roland, and Albert. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 6, 2010, at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana, 46563, with the Rev. Denise Anderson officiating. Burial will in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth. Military Honors will be presented by the American Legion Post #127, Plymouth. A time of visiting with Leo's family will be on Monday, December 6, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home.
