Leon M. Ramirez, age 66, of Manchaca, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2012. He was born on April 11, 1945 to Juan and Rita Ramirez in Buda, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Cruz Ramirez.

Leon is survived by son, Leon Jr. and wife Claudine; granddaughters, Gabriela and Alexandra; sisters, Julia Hidrogo, Petra Ramirez, Josephine Velasquez and husband Frank, Dominga Coolidge and husband Robert, Mary Castro and husband Richard, Angelina Ramirez, Rachel Pompey and husband Arnold; brothers, Hilario Ramirez and wife Mary, Gonzalo Ramirez and wife Inez, Ben Ramirez and wife Delia, and Polo Ramirez.

Serving as pallbearers will be Hilario Ramirez, Gonzalo Ramirez, Ben Ramirez, Polo Ramirez, Frank Velasquez and Javier Ramirez.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish South. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday January 27, 2012 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial.
