LEONA (LEE) VIOLA LEMAICK Leona V. Lemaick, of Camas, passed away on April 9, 2011 at the age of 82. She was born on December 20, 1928 in Fredonia, ND. She graduated from Roosevelt HS in Portland, OR and married James Lemaick on March 9, 1948. They resided in Portland until retirement and then moved to Bullhead City, AZ. She moved to Vancouver in 2004 and Camas in 2006. Leona was one of 13 children and was a stay at home mom until her youngest child was in school full time. She then worked as a U.S. Postal Clerk. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who especially enjoyed babies. Her favorite was to spend time was with her children, her siblings, and her many friends. She enjoyed bowling, golf, travel, playing cards, and board games. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; granddaughter, Renee Morris, and great-grandchildren, Bryant Morris, Alexis Morris, Lucas Morris, and Johnathan Morris. Survivors include her children, Patricia (Keith) Elmore, Dianna (Terry) Totten, Linda Allen, James (Fran) Lemaich, and Betty Lemaick; siblings Ruth Job, Rol Buerkle, Ken Buerkle; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. At her request there will be no services. Straub's Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
