Leonard Chaltry Sr., age 79, of Neillsville, WI died December 17, 2010 at home with his family at his side.



 



Leonard Clifford Chaltry was born on January 5, 1931 in Marinette, WI, the son of Clifford and Alice (LeSage) Chaltry. He graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes in Marinette. On November 11, 1950, he was united in marriage to Arleen Miller. Len worked in sales for Jewel Tea in Rhineland, WI. Later, they moved to Neillsville and he began his career in the insurance industry selling for Metropolitan Life. For many years Len was an independent insurance agent and in later years became an investment broker.



 



He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis, Men’s Club and the Neillsville Country Club. He was an avid golfer and Packer fan. He is further survived by his 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, three brothers, Roland Chaltry of Menomonie, MI, Larry (Rose) Chaltry of Kiel, WI and Gene (Rosie) Chaltry of Marinette, WI and one sister, Dolores (Malcolm) Cann of Troy, MO.



 



He was preceded in death by his twin brother Leon, his daughter, Lori Ann, his grandson, Aaron and his parents.



 



Funeral services for Leonard will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 20 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Fr. Jerome Naduvathaniyil will officiate. A Knights of Columbus Rosary Service will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by a visitation time from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Gesche Funeral Home.
