Born September 14, 1921 in Pecan Gap, TX and passed away February 1, 2012 in Plano, TX. Leonard met his wife, Louise on the school bus at the age of 14 and married her on July 25, 1942 in Dallas when she was 18 and he was 20. He was a veteran of the US Navy Seebee's during WWII. He served as Deacon for over 50 years at First Baptist Church of Plano and Grace Temple Baptist Church in Oak Cliff and was a 32nd degree mason for over 50 years. He was an avid fisherman, loved his family, his church, and his God. Leonard is survived by his wife of 69 years, Louise Jackson; son, Dr. David Wayne Jackson and wife Beth; daughter, Debbie Jackson Smith and Tracy Woehl, a dear family friend; grandchildren, Melissa Smith, David Wayne Jackson II, Sarah Beth Jackson, Daniel Edward Mitchell Jackson; niece, Lujuanna Daigle; and nephew, Larry J. Scherff. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 3rd from 6-8pm at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held on Saturday, February 4th at 12:30pm at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
