I was watching the Travel Channel today and it was a special on gelato and I immediately thought of Fernando and Nora, so I googled Cafe Tartufo and I found Nora's obituary which shocked me. I am deeply saddened to have just learned of Nora's passing. I was watching the Travel Channel today and it was a special on gelato and I immediately thought of Fernando and Nora, so I googled Cafe Tartufo and I found Nora's obituary which shocked me. I knew Nora since I was 10 or so, when they worked at the cafe across from my house, pre-Tartufo days. My Uncle helped them start Tartufo and I ended up being their first employee. Nora was just an incredible person. Patient, funny and caring. She was my first boss and really taught me so many important business attributes that I still implement to this day. I loved watching them succeed and grow because they were two of the hardest workers I have ever met. I have so many great memories from my days at Tartufo thanks to Nora. My sincerest condolences to Nora's entire family especially Fernando, Santiago and Maria. She was a very special person.

I am so saddened by the passing of Nora. I worked for her for almost 10 years and she was more than just a boss to me, she was a friend and like a family member. I am extremely saddened by the passing of Nora, as she was an amazing woman and dear friend. Nora was a huge part of my life as a friend and as a mentor. She was a hard working, dedicated woman who brought happiness to so many. As the owner of Cafe Tartufo, she put her heart and soul into everything - her business, her employees and her family. After a short time, Nora and her family became members of my family. Nora will be deeply missed and remembered always. May she rest in eternal peace.

My heart breaks with the loss of my dear friend, Nora. Your spirit and love will always remain with me. May God grant you eternal rest and peace.

It saddens my heart to learn of Nora's death. She lived a life of hard work & long hours, and didn't get to reap the benefit of her sacrifices. Life is not fair.
