Leslie "Tootie" Barbara Enders, 62, a resident of Magdalena, died Thursday, January 12, 2012. She is survived by husband, Robert E. Enders of Magdalena, NM; Son; Don J. Kappen Jr.; Brothers: Michael Hayes, William B. Hayes, Bernard Hayes and Sister, Lynn Hayes Hood. Leslie was preceded in death by her Parents. Leslie was a Navy air-vac nurse in Viet Nam and one of ten women in that war to receive a purple heart award. She had worked at V.A. Hospitals in Chicago, Atlanta and Reno. She was a generous and giving lady willing to help anyone that needed help. She always smiled at everyone and gave a hug instead of a handshake. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Magdalena, NM on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
