Lester Utah Barton Jr

Lester Utah Barton, Jr. Always in our Hearts Lester Utah Barton Jr., formerly of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away August 29, 2010 in Roswell, N.M. Lester was born in Salt Lake City, Utah February 22, 1918 to Lester Utah Barton, Sr. and Susan Rose Cheney and later married his step-mother Agnes Bostrom. Lester married Elgie Mae Shaila Richie on November 22, 1950 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they had 10 children. Lester was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who devoted his life to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He spent his life selflessly serving his family and others. Lester was an example to us all and will be greatly missed. Lester is survived by his children, Lucinda Jensen, Marnee (Moroni) Flores, Mark (Judith) Barton, Judy (Humberto) Flores, Lyle (Lori) Barton, Kimberly Barton (Jenny), Jonathan Barton (John), Bruce Barton and Jeanie (James) Coolen, his brother James Barton; 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Elgie Mae Shaila Richie Barton, his daughter Natalie and three grandchildren. Services are Sat. September 4, at 11:00 a.m. at Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive. Friends may greet the family Friday, September 3, from 6-8 p.m. at Murray Memorial Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, or from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
