Lester was born on August 22, 1915 and passed away on Friday, November 14, 2008.

Lester was a resident of Gonzales, California at the time of passing.

He attended schools in Gonzales, Fairview one room schoolhouse, Gonzales Elementary and High School.

He spent all of his life in Gonzales except for the time he spent serving our country during WW II. He was honorably discharged in 1946 and returned to Gonzales getting into the cattle business with his brother, Paul. He served in the Army Air Corp as a radio operator on a B-25 bomber. His base training took him to Sioux Falls, SD and Paine Field in Everett, WA where he was eventually stationed.

Visitation will be held from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the Struve & Laporte Chapel, 41 West San Luis Street, Salinas, CA 93901. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at the St. Theodore's Catholic Church, 116 S. Belden St., Gonzales, CA 93926.
