Mr. Leverial Stevenson Chase, age 85 of McDonough, Georgia passed away December 2, 2011. He was born in Roanoke, Alabama to the late Fletcher Groover and Myrtle Irene Bailey Chase. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Lillie Mae Inman Chase and by daughters, Rebecca Ann Chase and Donna Faye Chase. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the McDonough Baptist Tabernacle. He retired from Snapper Power Equipment and enjoyed working on lawnmowers. Survivors include children, Wanda (Howard) Sorrows and Jerry Chase all of McDonough; grandchildren, Cynthia Beck, Steven Sorrows and Eric Chase; great grandchildren, Preston Sorrows, Tori Beck, Hannah Chase and Jacob Chase. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the McDonough Baptist Tabernacle with Dr. James West officiating. Interment will follow at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Contributions are asked to be made to the McDonough Baptist Tabernacle in memory of Mr. Chase.
