Lillian D. Myers
Lillian D. Myers, 100, a resident of NHC Healthcare Mauldin, SC, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012.
Born August 17, 1911, she was the daughter of the late William and Leila Holtzclaw Dill.
Lillian was the oldest living member of Earle Street Baptist Church and loved her church. You could always find Lillian volunteering in the kitchen. Her friends will always remember her for her cakes and fudge. Lillian started the nursery photography with the Greenville General, Allen Bennett and St. Francis Hospitals.
Lillian married William Thomas Skinner on November 15, 1932. They were married for thirty-five years.
Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Linda Skinner Perry and Thomas C. Perry, Jr.; one grandson, Thomas C. Perry, III and his wife, Cara Perry; one granddaughter, Catherine M. Perry and one great-child, Kennedy N. Perry; and a sister, Marie Wood of Greer, SC.
She was also predeceased by her second husband, Carl S. Myers; two sisters, Mabel Dill Hodgens, Catherine Dill Tarpley and two brothers, Dawson W. Dill and Brooks J. Dill.
The family would like to express their gratitude to NHC Healthcare Nurses and CNA's who cared for her so sweetly with a special and warm thanks to Jerry Nix (CNA), who was with her at NHC for five years. Also a special thanks to Jill and Charlotte with Solaris Hospice.
Services will be conducted at 3:30 PM Friday, February 3, 2012 in Remembrance Mausoleum Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Dr. Stephen Clyborne officiating. Entombment will be in the Memorial Mausoleum.
The family is at the home of Tom and Linda Perry and will receive friends immediately following the service in the mausoleum.
