Lillian Elks Harrell, 89, of the 1500 block of Campostella Rd., Chesapeake, VA, passed away May 9, 2011, in a local hospital. A native of Grimesland, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late William and Mattie Elks. She was a member and Past Matron of Berkley Chapter #52, Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra S. Mann and husband Pastor Chuck Mann; her son, Michael K. Smith and wife Brenda of Portland, OR; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Tony Smith. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel Thursday from 12 to 1 p.m. followed by a graveside service in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens Thursday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Chuck Mann officiating.
