Canandaigua-Dr. Lillian M. Ford, age 52, of Chatham Lane, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 17, 2012, at F.F. Thompson Hospital. She is survived by her partner, Cathy Bruckner; her loving sisters, Marie (Steven L.) Corte and Kathleen (Thomas)Lang; beloved nephew, Steven L. Corte Jr.; adoring dogs, Ali & Charley. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Marie (Scarpulla) Ford; and uncle, Brother Timothy Ford. Lillian was born in Queens and raised in Westbury, NY on Long Island. She was a graduate of Westbury High School, class of 1977. Lillian attended the New York Institute of Technology on Long Island. She graduated from New York Chiropractic College, on Long Island in 1985 and became a faculty member at the college. The college then moved to Seneca Falls, NY. Lillian continued to work at the college and rose through the ranks to become an associate professor. She was formerly of Geneva. Lillian was a Fellow of the American College of Chiropractors and a member of the American Chiropractic Association. She enjoyed photography, reading, had an interest in politics and was a motorcycle enthusiast. Lillian was president of the Lakewood Meadows Homeowners Association. Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Her Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 95 N. Main St., Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dr. Lillian M. Ford Memorial Scholarship Fund, at the New York Chiropractic College, 2360 Rte. 89, Seneca Falls, NY 13148. Condolences may be offered at www.johnsonkennedy.com.
