Lillian Ruth Williams was born June 26, 1949 in Brinkley Arkansas to Charles and Tommie Doss. Lillian was the third eldest out of ten siblings.
She received her formal education through the Chicago Public Schools. She continues her education and graduated from Kennedy King College. She went on to receive her Master's Degree in Counseling from Roosevelt University. The path she chose for her career was a Substance Abuse Counselor for the State of Illinois.
She met and married Bernard Williams and to this union was born one beautiful baby girl, Antoinette. She later met and married Leon Tanner and out of that union was born a handsome son Cleyon.
Lillian Ruth Williams made her transition at home in Paducah Kentucky. She left too soon at the age of 62 on December 18, 2011. She was preceded in death by her father; Charles Rufus Doss, both husbands; Bernard and Leon, her sister; Evelyn Doss, her brother; Charles Doss, her niece; Arnisha, as well as her nephews; Dowan and Ramon.
She leaves to celebrate her life: Her mother; Tommie Doss, daughter; Antoinette
(Timothy) Adams, son; Cleyon Tanner, six sisters; Barbra (Reggie) McCarthy, Ruth Maxey, Ludean Doss, Maxine (Jessie) Adams, Vinitta Doss, Debra (Donald ) Howard and one brother; Darryl Doss, eight grandchildren; Pierre, Asonadia, Kiara, Crystal, Daquan, Jaquis, Keyonn and Kewona, five great grandchildren; Jermaine, Ja'Kahia, Ciara, Tiara and Shania, a host a nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
