Linda Ann Bryant was born on November 1, 1949 in Washington, Pennsylvania, daughter of Lucy Jones Bryant and Edward Bryant. She relocated to Linden, New Jersey 40 years ago. Linda was employed as a Customer Service Representative at the Social Security Administration Office in Union, New Jersey. She had been an employee of the Social Security Administration for 39 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset where she participated with the Love Force Ministry, Women Without Walls as well as being a volunteer for various church sponsored activities. When Linda's mother passed away, she willingly took on the role of family matriarch, organizing family gatherings and keeping family connected. She was a people person, always giving of herself and caring for others. She gave "motherly love" to cousins, Kyjuana Turner and Robert Jones and niece, Jovana Calland . Linda's passions were keeping journals to document her thoughts and experiences, collecting lighthouses and unicorns, travelling, listening to music and her Pittsburgh Steelers football team. She dreamed of taking a trip from lighthouse to lighthouse in her collection. She was also looking forward to the AFC Championship game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Jets because she was certain that the Jets could not win on Pittsburgh's home turf. Linda Bryant departed this life on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey at the age of 61. She was predeceased by her parents, Lucy and Edward Bryant and a brother, Wesley G. Bryant. She leaves to cherish fond memories, two brothers, Edward Bryant of Trenton, NJ and Fred Bryant of Linden, NJ; one sister, Yvonne Bryant of Linden, NJ; a sister-in-law, Brenda Bryant; 2 nephews, Jayson and Gregory Bryant; a niece, Jovana Calland; cousins who were raised by her, Kyjuana Turner and Robert Jones and a host of cousins, other relatives and special friends.
