Mrs. Linda Beth Eaton, age 69, of Calhoun, Georgia, and formerly of McGraw, New York, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, March 19, 2013 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born February 5, 1944 in Cortland, New York, a daughter of the late Lawrence David and Elva Mae Forney Winfield. She was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Ella Grace Cochran and her sister, Sharon Bordwell.
Linda was a florist by trade and worked many years at Owen Florist. She was a graduate of McGraw High School in McGraw, New York.
She is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Gary Eaton of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Christine Eaton, Jeffrey and Virginia Eaton, Kevin Eaton; daughter, Valerie Achord all of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Brittany Cochran, Brandon Eaton, Blake Eaton, Bryant Eaton, Kyle Eaton, Cameron Burchett, Ashley Cudd, Tabitha Breeding, Tyler Luck, Isabella Eaton and Garren Achord; great-grandchildren who she called the diamonds of her heart, Daelynn Cochran, Caden Eaton, Audrey Eaton, Noah Eaton, Branson Cochran and Keaton Achord; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Nancy Winfield of Eatonton, GA, David and Cathy Winfield of Syracuse, NY; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say a special "Thanks" to the nurses and staff of SolAmor Hospice .
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Linda Beth Eaton will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Reverend Jason Parker and her brother, Larry Winfield officiating. Entombment will follow at the Haven of Rest Memorial Park with Brandon Eaton, Blake Eaton, Bryant Eaton, Garren Achord, Corey Cochran and Kyle Eaton serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be, Ryan Winfield, Jody Winfield, Neal Hooper and Paul Hooper.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel, Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and after 1:00 p.m. Saturday until the service hour.
