Linda Carol Burns, 73, of Weirton passed away October 29, 2011 at the Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born May 21, 1938 in St Mary's, WV, the daughter of the late Elmer V. and Leota G. Mason Smith. Her husband Calvin Lee Burns Sr., son Jeffrey B. Smith, daughter Joyce V. Smith and one grandchild David Thompson Jr. also preceded her in death. Linda retired from the Weirton Geriatric Center where she was a registered nurse with 13 years of service. She was a member of the Shiloh Apostolic Church in Weirton. She is survived by sons James A. Seau of Toronto, OH, Calvin Lee Burns Jr. of Canton, OH; daughters Mary (James) Harris of Steubenville, OH, Jo Lynn Seau, Christine D. (Robert) Pendergrass, Kisha (Leslie) E. Washington, Toni E. Burns all of Weirton and Candace L. Harris of Columbus, OH; 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday where she will lie in state at the Shiloh Apostolic Faith Church, 3000 Weir Avenue, in Weirton from 11 AM to 1 PM. The funeral service will begin at 1PM.
