COLUMBIA Funeral service for Jeannette Counts, 70, will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2012, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Counts died Thursday, January 19, 2012. Born in West Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Edwin P. and Mildred E. Easler Browder. She retired from the American Legion Department of South Carolina.
Surviving are sons, Barry Counts, Eddie Hester, both of Columbia, Chris (Deanna) Counts of Liberty; daughter, Brenda French, Rhonda Smith, both of Columbia; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by daughter, Debbie Hewett.
The family wishes to thank Jeannette's best friend and their "other mother".
