Linwood S. Lane, Jr., 69, of the 4800 block of Bromfield Ave., Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on December 29, 2011. He was employed by Operating Engineers Local #147 as a crane operator. He retired from E.T. Gresham after 40 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley O. Lane, and is survived by a son, Linwood S. Lane III and wife Tricia; fiance, Patricia Muncher; three sisters, Billie Hein, Barbara Weaver, and Shirley Bigham; two brothers, Richard Lane and wife Mary and Robert Lane; and a grandson, Linwood S. Lane IV. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
