Llewellyn Wofford Thomas, 78, died at his home on Saturday, November 24, 2007. Born July 26, 1929, in Pauline, SC, he was the son of the late Marion C. and Lillie Wofford Thomas. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad and was an elder of Spartanburg Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. He was an Assistant Scout Master with more than 40 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy McBride Thomas; a son, Daniel L. Thomas and his wife Regina of Hilton Head Island; two daughters, Pamela Joyce Thomas, and Lane Anthony and her husband Keith of Spartanburg; a sister, Carmen Sherbert of Spartanburg; eight grandchildren, Christine, Christopher, Bennett, Keith, Chris, Chad, Andrew, and Bradley; and two great-grandchildren, Robert Thomas Corley and Isabella Thomas. He was predeceased by his brother, Marion C. Thomas, Jr.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at Spartanburg Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. Peter A. Waid. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the ARP Church Cottage Fund, 1801 Skylyn Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
