LLOYD JOHN HICKEY Lloyd Hickey, of North Bonneville, passed away on August 14, 2011 in Vancouver. He was 75. He was born on March 29, 1936 in White Salmon, WA. He grew up in Glenwood, WA where he graduated from high school in 1954. Lloyd married Margie Williams in 1956 and they had two sons. They made their home in Glenwood, Goldendale and White Salmon while he worked for SDS Lumber Company. Their marriage ended in divorce and he moved to Seattle in 1968. Lloyd worked for St. Regis and long hauled lumber. He met Clara in 1970 and they married on June 12, 1971. They would live in the same house in Sammamish for 35 years. He continued to long haul for several companies and retired in 2006. They sold their home and went to Arizona, splitting their time between North Bonneville and Arizona. Lloyd enjoyed fishing, tinkering and fixing things. He was also a member of the Church of Nazarene in Renton, WA, the 1st Baptist Church in Quartzsite, AZ and Hamilton Creek Community Church in North Bonneville, WA. He was preceded in death by his son, Jay Himes and sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and Ron Ladiges. Survivors include his wife, Clara; children Steve (Kelly) Hickey of Washougal, Jeff (Belinda) Hickey of Washougal, Tracy (Mike) Marconi of Shoreline, WA, Douglas Himes of Seattle, Tim Lee of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Straub's Funeral Home in Camas, WA.
