Lloyd Verl Brown

Brown, Lloyd V., 87, WWII Veteran, passed away October 14, 2011. He was born September 25, 1924 to Benjamin and Gladys (Eagen) Brown in Palco, KS. Lloyd loved spending time in the outdoors and had a real appreciation for animals and nature. He enjoyed working with his hands, bowling, and playing baseball and softball. He was extremely patriotic. Lloyd especially loved his grandchildren. Lloyd retired from KG&E after 31 years of service. He was preceded in death by his previous wife, Margaret Blanche (Hankins) Brown; son, Kenny Brown; and siblings, Clinton Brown, Burl Brown, Maxine Sanders, and Marie Miller. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Norma Brown; children, Rod Brown and wife, Laiketa, Kevin Brown and wife, Debra, Diana Reel and husband, John, David Beaver and wife, Debbie, and Darren Beaver; grandchildren, Angela (Quincy) Daniel, Eric Brown, Jeff Brown, Brandon Reel, Angela Back, and Malory Minor; sister, Claudine Radefeld and husband, Dean; and brother-in-law, Jim Sanders. Visitation: Tuesday, 4 - 7 pm. Funeral: 2 pm, Wednesday, both at Lakeview Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
