Lois Ann Wilson, 68, of Wurtland, Ky. passed away Friday (Nov. 9, 2007) at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital Russell, Ky. She was born March 30, 1939 in Ironton, Ohio; the daughter of Letitia Travis Truchoweski of Ironton and the late John A. Truchoweski.
She worked as a Registered Nurse for River Valley Health Center for twenty years and is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ironton. She is a 1957 graduate of St. Joseph Central Catholic High School. She loved to travel and loved her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers: Jackie and Jim Truchoweski
She is survived by her husband: Charles P. Wilson whom she married Feb. 23, 1963; two daughters and sons-in-law: Sherrie and John Dowdy of Greenup, Ky,, Paula and Jeff Cheatham of Kennesaw, Ga. and one son: John Wilson of Flatwoods, Ky. Also survived by twin granddaughters: Caryn (Dillman) Jeffers of Fayetteville, N.C., Christina (Dillman) Barnett of Kingsville, Texas. Three grandsons: Sean Wilson, Beau Wilson and Dylan Cheatham and three great-grandchildren . Three sisters and brothers-in-law: Jane and Tom Kearns of Ironton, Kay and Jerry Harper of Port Clinton, Ohio, Debbie and Perry McClintic of Wheelersburg. Special friend: Cecelia Keating Chapman of Gainesville, Fla.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday (Nov. 13, 2007) at St. Joseph Catholic Church Ironton, Ohio with Father Thomas Nau officiating,. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery Coal Grove, Ohio . Friends may call Monday 6- 9 PM at the Hayes-Phillips Funeral Home 509 S. 6th Street Ironton. Rosary service will be held 8:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.
