Lois Irene Robbins

Lois Irene Robbins, 88, of Hot Springs, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Born January 11, 1923 in Cedar Glades, Arkansas to the late Herman Dewey and Modena Nobles Pennington, she was a member of the Hot Springs National Park Chapter 635 Order of Eastern Star and the Rebeccah's. She was a loving mother who spent her life taking care of others by working as a nurse's aide at St. Joseph Mercy Health Center and as a caregiver. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred "Red" Robert Robbins, daughter Joyce Dunnavant and granddaughter, Marilyn Foggin.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Mary Robbins of Shreveport, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and John Harper of Hot Springs Village; brother, J.D. Pennington of Judsonia, Arkansas; sister, Dellie Clevenger of Napa, California; seven grand children, eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Cunningham Cemetery with Reverend Rick Humphreys officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Leon Robbins, Arkansas Hospice, Dr. Martin Koehn and staff.

Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday at Gross Funeral Home.
